Giesen The August 1888 Sauvignon Blanc 2012 (Marlborough)

Giesen The August 1888 Sauvignon Blanc 2012 (Marlborough)

The August 1888 is the Giesen boys’ salute to August, their sommelier grandfather. It’s a silky-textured, unhurried wine offering tarte au citron and nectarine flavours, seasoned with smart use of oak, and flows with creamy ease. The finish is long. A sauvignon ‘de luxe’ to have with whitebait fritters.
