Bannock Brae Estate

Setting
Crawford and Catherine Brown invite guests into their home or, if it’s fine, onto their terrace to taste the wine from the hillside vineyard surrounding their house.

Things To Know
With help from James Dicey and Sarah-Kate Dineen, the Browns make the highly rated Goldfields Pinot Noir and a barrel selection, as well as rosé and riesling. There’s also a notable grüner veltliner named after Marlene, an Austrian exchange student who introduced Bannock Brae to the variety.

Our Picks
Don’t miss the grüner veltliner, and the Goldfields Pinot Noir has won numerous awards.
