Things To Know
Established in 1985 by Australian David Hohnen, Cloudy Bay quickly became one of the most famous Marlborough wineries, renowned initially for its sauvignon blanc. They also produce chardonnay, pinot noir, both a late-harvest and a dry riesling, a barrel-fermented sauvignon and the sparkling Pelorus, a methode traditionnelle.
One of the original alternative sauvignons, Te Koko, is well worth a try, as are the seductive Marlborough pinot noirs.
