Setting
Given the relationship between wine and the church (most 19th-century New Zealand wines were produced to be used in communion), it seems highly appropriate that Clos Henri’s cellar door is one of Marlborough’s former houses of worship. The beautiful matai and rimu building has an old-world charm that has helped it become one of the most photographed cellar doors in the region. There are outdoor tables and a range of platters and bread available from the cellar door – take the opportunity to picnic among the vines.

Things To Know
This beautiful vineyard is the Antipodean arm of the renowned Henri Bourgeois family – wine-growers in France’s Loire Valley for 10 generations. The family arrived in Marlborough in 2000, with the goal of producing world-class terroir-driven sauvignon blanc and pinot noir to complement their homeland wines.
