Setting
Expect an enthusiastic welcome from Dixie the German short-haired pointer when you arrive here – she is likely to be your introduction to Omaka Springs Estate. Then make your way to the cellar door, which was once the home of the estate’s olive press.
Things To Know
The winery takes its name from the natural springs that feed the Omaka Valley. All the grapes for the wines are grown on-site, and the wines are all made here. While grapes abound in the area, to get to the cellar door you’ll enjoy driving through some of the region’s oldest olive trees.
Our Pick
The Falveys Vineyard Pinot Noir is rich and distinctively flavoured.
Plus
Omaka Springs was a pioneer of the Marlborough olive industry, and people flock here for the estate olive oil. You can buy it in the bottle, or bring your own container and have it filled straight from the barrel.
