Setting
This is a cellar door that brings you closer to nature. Sited on top of a knoll, the views are the first thing you notice. Mountains in the background, vines in the foreground and thousands of trees, all planted by owners Ros Squire and Ian Newton – it is a slice of Upper Moutere heaven.

Things To Know
Ros and Ian purchased the property in 1993, and have planted the full aromatic range Nelson is renowned for: sauvignon blanc, gewurztraminer, riesling, pinot gris and chardonnay. There’s also pinot noir and syrah. The vineyard is one of the original organic properties in Nelson, certified since 1997.

Our Picks
The gewurztraminer is a relatively new variety, but with a nose of peaches and lychees it is a great example. The Reserve Pinot Noir is another very stylish wine.
