Setting
Above the Bannockburn sluicings, Graeme and Gillian Crosbie planted their vineyard in a former orchard in 2002. Next to the Bannockburn camping ground – hence the name of the road and vineyard – the tasting room is in a restored rammed-earth goldminer’s cottage built during the 1880s.
Things To Know
Domain Road’s pinot noir has impressed from its first vintage but the vineyard also produces some stylish whites – the dry The Water Race and the off-dry Duffers Creek rieslings are exemplary. Sauvignon blanc is rare in Central, but Domain Road’s develops well.
Our Picks
Try the pinot noir, and compare the two rieslings.
