Setting
The woodland driveway that leads you to the cellar door prepares you for something special, and you won’t be disappointed. The rustic, lichen-covered timber buildings, with shots of bright red framing the windows and doors, bear the imprint of the old stables they sprang from in the 1980s. While the outside might appear rustic, the cellar door itself is not. With a touch of French flair, it leads out to the wine bar and a large grassy bank that encourages you to lie back and relax.
Things To Know
Neudorf is one of the oldest wineries in Nelson and it has forged a deserved reputation for quality wines. Owners Tim and Judy Finn came into the industry in 1978 with no knowledge of winegrowing – but they didn’t let that stop them. The couple have helped create Nelson’s reputation as a world-class producer.
Our Pick
The Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay has become something of a cult wine. Taste it and see why.
