Setting
The tasting area is set under a canopy on the lawn of this beautiful property on the southwestern corner of Lake Taupo. Bring a camera and keep an eye out for wild deer, sheep and pheasants roaming amongst the thousands of native and olive trees.
Things To Know
Wines are made by talented contract winemaker Amelia Riwai while the olives are pressed in Hawke’s Bay or Wairarapa. You can enjoy a platter of estate-grown olives and olive oil with bread and cheeses, or you’re also welcome to bring your own picnic.
Our Picks
The pinot rosé is very popular in summer months and the off-dry pinot gris is also worth a try.
Plus
If you’re in the area you can start your New Year’s celebrations at Omori Estate’s annual afternoon concert in the vineyard.
