Rock Ferry

Setting
This cellar door was once the home of Rock Ferry’s owners, Tom Hutchison and Fiona Harvey.Surrounded by large trees and cottage gardens, it is both welcoming and homely. There’s plenty of outdoor space for warmer months and a large fire to cosy up by when it turns cooler.

Things To Know
Tom and Fiona have been growing grapes in Marlborough since 1994, but their restaurant and cellar door is one of the newer kids on the block, opening in 2011. Rock Ferry owns two vineyards in Marlborough and one in Central Otago, meaning the range of wines on offer is extensive.

Our Picks
The chardonnay is beautifully elegant, yet quite restrained. The Central Otago Pinot Noir is also well worth a try.

Rock Ferry Cafe
The bistro-style menu offers a wide range of options, from a substantial steak sandwich through to artisan breads for those just wanting a light snack. It has quickly become a popular venue for locals.
