Stoneridge Estate

There’s no other cellar door quite like Stoneridge Estate. Set on a hillside above Lake Hayes, it’s a visual feast of stone, reclaimed timber beams and hand-crafted iron work – all used to recreate a magical arcadia.

The driveway takes you up past the small home vineyard to the imposing main building. Tasting takes place at the art gallery and seasonal cafe within the English garden, near a charming chapel used for weddings.

Stoneridge Estate is the realisation of a dream by owner Wayne Gore, who has dedicated decades to its construction. The new estate also includes a function centre and luxury B&B lodge with private cottage and superlative views across Lake Hayes to Coronet Peak.

The boutique vineyard was planted in 1998 and grows all the fruit for the three Stoneridge varietals: pinot noir, pinot gris and a pinot rosé.

Our picks Taste all three wines, made off-site by the experienced Jen Parr at Terra Sancta.

Plus Take the time to stroll through and enjoy the fabulous Stoneridge garden, with its irises, roses, sculptures and water features.
