Setting
There is something very sophisticated about the Wither Hills winery. Situated on a grass-covered knoll, it is imposing in its architecture, yet also very welcoming. The comfy couches inside and beanbags in the grassy courtyard make it the perfect spot to relax and spend a few hours. The views from the upstairs deck over the Wairau Valley are stunning, while a visit to the barrel room downstairs will assail your senses.

Things To Know
One of the larger wineries in Marlborough, this cellar door is a showcase for the company. There are a number of tasting options available, including a Blending Session – you can try your hand at creating your own sauvignon blanc. During vintage, stop by the vine library that fronts the winery, pick a grape and see if you can correctly identify the variety.

The Rarangi Sauvignon Blanc is a standout, but if you are looking for a wine to match your steak, the Taylor River Pinot Noir is superb.
