Eradus Wines

Setting
Eradus Wines is set in a rustic mudbrick building, filled with barrels and display wines. It is the perfect neighbour to the many other artisan outlets in The Vines Village on Rapaura Rd.

Things To Know
Eradus draws all its fruit from the banks of the Awatere River to produce its own style of sauvignon blanc, along with single-vineyard pinot noir, pinot gris and the late-harvest sauvignon blanc Sticky Mickey. They are the only 100 per cent-Awatere producer with a cellar door in the “golden mile” of Rapaura Rd.

Our Picks
Both of the sauvignon blancs are distinctive – Ana is grown on stony soils while the Eradus derives from more clay-based soil.

Plus
A mixture of imported European wines is also available for purchase and allow time to explore The Vines Village – its stores stock everything from clothing to homewares and gourmet food. There are extensive grounds with picnic tables flanking a lovely lake, so settle in for an afternoon.
