Giesen The Brothers Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Penetrating sauvignon blanc varietal cues are the starting point here, and they are skilfully coupled to botrytised lusciousness and complexity to make sweet wine of distinction.  Passionfruit, herbaceous and earthy aromas combine with malty botrytis cues to introduce a very sweet, rich and ultra-long flavoured drop. It’s syrupy-sweet, but tight acidity and a firm finish give it balance.
