Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels The Gimblett 2011

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels The Gimblett 2011

“Impressive”, said Peter Cowley, summing up the panel’s thoughts on this powerful, inky 2011 blend of five Bordeaux-origin red grapes. It has impenetrable colour and a concentrated nose of blackberries, violets, leafy notes, and a certain earthy austerity. Fruit dominates but there’s a well-applied seasoning of coffee-like oak across nose and palate. Blackcurrant pastille flavours flood the mouth and big grippy tannins dominate the finish.
