R.H.Coutier Brut Tradition NV
Ambonnay is a place well known for Grand Cru pinot noir vineyards. Unusually for the area, Coutier uses one-third chardonnay in this flavoursome wine. Cut apple, nutty notes, and a savoury herbal touch make up the nose. In the mouth it has an overt personality with a hint of oxidative handling, good flavour evolution and a zip of tart acidity. (C)
