Akarua’s Matt Connell is a dab hand with Central Otago pinot noir and it makes up around 70 per cent of this sparkling wine. It treads a balanced path on nose and palate with sherbetty fruit woven through caramel and nutty complexities, smooth mouth feel, fine, powdery texture and a sustained, dry palate.
