Rudi Bauer’s mastery of Central Otago sparkling wine finds good expression here. The colour has a slight  coppery tinge and the nose is gently complex. Pinot/strawberry meets chardonnay/citrus with whispers of vanilla cream and toasty bread. The savoury palate has the sort of linear feel, backed by zesty acidity, that marks fine aperitif styles, and the elegant flavour builds in the mouth as you sip.
