R.H.Coutier Grand Cru Brut NV
R.H.Coutier is a smaller family-owned Champagne house in Ambonnay, a place well known for Grand Cru pinot noir vineyards. Unusually for the area, Coutier uses 1/3 chardonnay in this flavoursome wine. Cut apple, nutty notes, and a savoury herbal touch make up the nose. In the mouth it has an overt personality with a hint of oxidative handling, good flavour evolution and a zip of tart acidity.
