Brancott Estate Letter Series O Marlborough Chardonnay 2015
O for… operatic? This is certainly a chardonnay of grand gestures and big themes. The toasty, butterscotch oak provides a thrilling aria, as does the overt flintiness. Overall, it’s a powerful performance, with critic Jane Boyle praising its harmony. It would be a better partner for Wagner than Puccini.
