La Chapelle Instinct Brut NV

From a small co-operative winery in Premier Cru country just south of Reims, this is a subdued, “winey” Champagne, smelling of pear and stonefruit backed by crusty bread-like autolysis complexity. In the mouth it’s an easy-drinking, complete, forward style of lovely balance and length.
