Sandalford Margaret River Shiraz 2012

Margaret River is often thought of as cabernet country, but the region’s delicious, modern shiraz is a winner too. Sandalford’s version opens with lashings of ripe dark fruit, hints of briar, spice and a dab of cedar. In the mouth it’s smooth and rounded with finesse and exemplary balance. A wine for a truffle-scented mushroom risotto.
