Leveret Estate Reserve Hawke’s Bay Pinot Noir 2014

The only Hawke’s Bay-grown wine among our top placegetters. It is big, a little unkempt and full of personality. Dark still fruit mingles with savoury elements, oak char also noted. The texture is firm, the finish is long. It’s a wine that needs a sturdy food companion, like a garlicky cassoulet.
