There is a still, dark softness to this handsome wine. It is built around a seductive core of dark fruit with a dusting of oak spice. There’s a wisp of smoke to the aromatics, and there is good fruit length. Its gentle texture, warmth and generosity put you in mind of an open fire and a hearty cassoulet.
