Penfolds Max’s Shiraz Cabernet 2015 (South Australia)
Named with a nod to Max Schubert the creator of Penfolds Grange this is clearly not intended to be in that ilk. Nevertheless this well-defined, juicy wine displays attractive pepper aromas and a complex core of dark berry fruits, spices and brown sugar. The finish is lifted with ripe herbal notes.
