Esk Valley Pinot Noir 2019 (Marlborough)
A youthful pinot that is powerful in style with rich dark cherries, blackberry and spice on the nose and through the palate matched with raspberries, brambles, herbs and forest-floor characters. The bright acid lifts this wine from becoming too brooding and dark. Undoubtedly it would be a good match with gamey meats.
