Vidal Legacy Chardonnay 2014 (Hawke’s Bay)

Winemaker Hugh Crichton’s Legacy chardonnays are a taonga, with each vintage release eagerly anticipated. The 2014 has settled in well. The signature oyster shell and gunflint notes mingle with stonefruit and citrus, and everything comes beautifully wrapped in a plush, even texture. Pair it to a bouillabaisse (and don’t spare the fennel).
