Babich The Patriarch 2010
The Patriarch honours Josip Babich, the pioneering vigneron who founded this enterprise just under 100 years ago. It’s a very ripe cabernet-merlot-malbec blend with blackcurrant jam and sweet spice on the nose. That ripeness stops short of portiness, giving it a very generous fruit profile. Good mid-palate weight and concentration of flavour is balanced by slightly astringent, grainy tannins.
