Te Awa Left Field Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2013
You get a lot for a modest outlay from this settled, very together Hawke’s Bay chard. Marzipan, citrus and hints of toast sing out clearly from a juicy, pristine mouthful that is all about the fruit. “Soave-like,” noted John Belsham. It’s young and a little nervy and needs a few years in the cellar.
