Te Kairanga Pinot Noir 2015 (Wairarapa)
You’re getting great value for money here. Floral scents mingle with a hint of damp straw that is very Martinborough. In the mouth it is finely wrought, complex, with wonderful focus and precision. The tannins are a triumph – elegant but tightly wound, asking to have a few years in the cellar to open up. Over the last couple of vintages, winemaker John Kavanagh has quietly been making his mark. Definitely a winery to watch.
