Yalumba The Octavius 2008
Over the vintages this once very-oaky Barossa shiraz has shed a lot of its woodiness. With recent vintages like this majestic 2008, everything is in equilibrium, combining rich fruitcake, leather, spice and nutty aromas with a weighty palate of ripe, mouth-filling flavours, velvety flow, ripe melting tannins and a very long finish.
