Vidal Legacy Gimblett Gravels Hawke’s Bay Syrah

A complex, concentrated syrah from the 112 -year-old Vidal winery. It has lovely richness on the nose, promising much via berry fruit, dark chocolate and cedary oak. There’s a hint of herbal austerity to add savoury dimension, but the wine shows admirably bold, ripe flavour backed up by well-measured tannins. A wine for roast beef.
