d’Arenberg The Love Grass Shiraz

“The Love Grass? It’s not something you smoke,” says d’Arenberg winemaker Chester Osborn. “It’s actually a vineyard weed that attaches to vineyard workers’ socks like Velcro.” So there you go. A hundred per cent McLaren Vale shiraz, this has a nose of jammy berries and currants with a chocolatey-meat-stocky regional layer. It has excellent concentration, yet it’s not heavy, and seamless fruit flavour fills the mouth. Easy drinking, yet rather special too.
