Few wineries have a location as lovely as Esk Valley, nestled beside terraced hillsides of vines and looking out to the Pacific Ocean. Long-time winemaker Gordon Russell is a merlot expert and it shows here. Plum, cassis and coffee bean aromas are seductively inviting, and the succulent, ripe, plummy palate is in harmony with richly structured tannins.
