Saint Clair Pioneer Block 17 Plateau Merlot 2020 (Hawke’s Bay)
A plummy, juicy and luscious style of merlot with obvious but appropriate and well-handled oak. The fruit on the palate is alive and shows lovely fine-grained tannins and fantastic acid structure. A juicy example with a long finish that will only improve with time.
