Three Dark Horses Shiraz 2020 (McLaren Vale)
Although Three Dark Horses is a relatively new producer (started in 2009), the fruit for this is from an established site – Bruno Romano’s vineyard in Seaview, McLaren Vale. This was the original source of fruit that launched Three Dark Horses, the name referring to the three generations of men in the family who run this winery. The maritime influence comes through with subtle saltiness to temper the rich, spicy red fruit. Bright, fresh and easy-drinking, this weighty, mouth-filling shiraz punches above its weight for the price and will sit comfortably at either the dinner table or on the couch in front of Netflix. (F)
