Angove McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016
The lifted freshness and perfume of this wine give it a pinot-esque quality. Juicy red and blue fruit flavours are packaged in a well-organised structure. The tannins are a little firm but will integrate with time. It’s by no means a blockbuster, but a style with a lot of prettiness atop a serious undercarriage. (A)
