Squawking Magpie Stoned Crow Syrah 2016 (Hawke’s Bay)
The 2016 vintage follows closely behind the heels of the excellent 2019. Here, complexity has emerged and the fruit has mellowed into ‘sous bois’, kawakawa and some funky flavours of mid-maturity. This is beginning to dry out so it's now at its best and will hold for another few years but it's time to start opening the bottles.
